Critique, not drool

So?

I spoke with a few people about why I hardly put my work up and I came to the conclusion that some people just don't understand artists.

I appreciate everyones comments and such, but honestly I am tired of getting comments like,, dude nice ass or damn she's hot i wanna bang her. These are the reasons why I hate guys and why I dislike showing my work. Yes, I love sexuality and rawness with women in my work, but respect it. By saying damn she has big o titties that disrespects me and my model and my work as a whole. I am not being a femanists or any fancy shit like that, but I am just asking to watch what you say, be respectful and honorable. I might sound like a bitch right now, but dude come on I don't need to be showing anything to anyone and I and keep my work private and be a private seller and then no one won't see jack shit.

Critique me in my lights, comp, concepts, everything. Of course I know the model is beautiful, or else I wouldn't shoot her, DU'H! Tell me what's wrong with the foto, what is right about the foto, etc. *SIGH* I don't want to be label a MAXIM-ish of FHM-ish photographer. That's WHACK to me. I want to raise the bar and bring sexuality back to fashion editorial stuff. So please critique in that am I doing it? Am I just bullshitting? Or am I getting there?

You have to understand that not everyone will understand everything... If that were the case, there would be no good art or bad art... Everything would be mediocre. People have varying levels of intelligence, maturity, and appreciation... There's no way around that. A lot of people come to this site, just to see "hot chicks". There's no way around that either. It's the very nature of your work, that some people are going to react the way they do... And they're probably going to think that they're doing you a favor by it too...

Hopefully you get enough quality comments to still make the site worthwhile... I for one, would be sad to see you leave/stop posting, as I do enjoy your work... And even though some people can't appreciate it for anything more than an attractive model, hopefully the few who can still make it worthwhile...

Most of the world is idiots, and the sooner you can accept that, and not expect more than that out of them... The better off you probably shall be. It's sad... But I'm afraid it's true.

And now with that out of the way, I can say "Back to the big boobed hotttt chicks!" :D

Sometimes, you just have to ignore ignorance... It'll only bother you if you let it...

i guess thios is somthing that u will have to expect shooting females in such manners and as i totally agree with u i must point out that not all people are as mature as we may like. this is the way of all things, ignore the fools and concentrate on those whose feedback is actually relevent .... well thats what i do anyway lol ... :) i hope u feel better about it all !

i think thers alot of people on here for the arts sake but theres also alot of art appreciators, young kids, and so on and so forth, ive only been on DA a year now but ive noticed alot of artists feeling they are putting their work and themselves perhaps at some sort of risk of being misunderstood, however its your choice to disregard anything you consider innapropriate but know SOME of us put yuo on our watchlists cos u DO create some hawy photography, but you create hawt photographic concepts too, you have a great style and ive said that before but ive also just left :drool: marks on your pics too, thats why i keep alot of comments to myself on here these days lol and just give a full view sometimes to show i find the piece interesting, rant rant rave rave, have a good one ;)

my poor friend, this is what everybody involved in nude material is exposed to. muthafuckas who're making these comments, it's n00bs who think they're on myspace and they can try to flirt with whoever's on a pic. Just don't pay attention, you're only gonna lose energy and motivation for giving a fuck about this type of shit.
